A bit of stamping today!

Finally it cooled down a bit so I could go UPSTAIRS to do some stamping!  I've just been wanting to play with these new stamps.  And yesterday I bought the little chickie on the swing.  Now, I love the chickies, but don't normally make a lot of cutsie cards....I'm more the flowers and elegant kind of cardmaker.  And lately I have been into butterflies!  Ohhhh, keep me away from buying any more!  (And yes, DeNami came out with the cute set of butterflies right after I made the declaration: No more butterflies!)  But this little chickie was just right for a simple card I needed for a friend...

It's hard to tell, but the tree is a die cut.  I then cut out the pink swing and a yellow chick to pop off.  That got more putsy than I thought it would!  But it added just a little pop to a very simple card.

Then another quick but pretty Thank you card...

Just like cheese sprinkled on top of most anything makes food taste better, so does glitter on my cards!  It always seems to add so much with so little!

Very thankful for a cooler night here in Wisconsin!  And for time to play in my room.  Thanks for dropping by!

Inspired by DeNami Addict Challenge

Ok...so now that I have a blog, I want to have some fun!  In case you can't tell, I really love my DeNami stamps!  I had some time to play with my new stamps. I've never made a shaped card before and decided today was the day! It actually worked!  I figured I'd just be cutting two shapes! I used the beautiful new Berry vine. (This one is going to be a quick favorite for me!)
Also I cut multiple Water Lilies and layered them. Popping off the vines and the lily.
Inside is the beautiful DeNami script of: Sending you God's Blessings.  Along with one more yellow water lily in the bottom corner.  I found a colored envelope that just about matched the yellow print I stamped the lilies out of.

Thanks for looking!  I had fun creating this card!

Quick card from scraps

I needed a quick little thank you card today so I do what most of us do...I went to my scraps and found a few things, like the flower that was already stamped, just needed some color.  Found a preprinted "Summertime" square that matched the background scrap.  Stamped "Thank you" on it.  Stamped some cute little flip flops and popped them off the card.  Added some green behind the flower and to a few of the empty dots on top and I was done!

Then,,, I had some time to play with my new DeNami stamps!

Can I get photos here?!

Well, this is the Birthday card I made for my sister.  I can't take credit for the card design as it is from Linda Bradbury of Classic Expressions.  Linda and her sister Linel taught me how to love DeNami many years ago with simple, elegant cards and they never stop amazing me with their designs!  It uses one of my older, favorite DeNami roses.

This card has a lot of special notes tucked inside.  First is the little green note card tucked into the front pocket!  Then you lift the front of the card from bottom to top for the printed verse and your signature area.  Next, you open the card from right to left.

Inside you'll find a flower stem which you take out and open for one last note!
Hope you enjoyed seeing it!

New DeNami Stamps!

I got my new DeNami stamps today and I'm excited to play with them!  I'm very new to this blogging world but the DeNami Hops have been so fun, I thought I might want to try one once....so here is where I begin!

I got the new Ornamental Centerpieces, Poinsettia Vines and the Berry Vine.  Now, I'm in no way ready to think about Christmas cards yet!  But these stamps are just so pretty and elegant that I wanted to find a way to use them even in July!

Now that I have a blog--ohhh scary!--I better see if I can figure out how to work it before I try something so formal as a Hop!
