Mother's Day

Things are a bit busy here with our new addition!
Doogle is a 12 year old Skye Terrier who's family
has transferred to the Middle East.
Flown in from California he is fitting in well
with our younger Skye Terrier and Briard.

He's just so adorable!  We call him our little Grandpa
but he's full of spunk and it's so fun watching him
settle into our "family".

I have been seeing everyone doing all this beautiful fussy cutting
so I thought I'd try it for my Mom!

I like how it turned out!
But it's not something I'd make a habit of doing!
But Mom is worth it!
The dies are what really made this card, I think.

Easter Cards

Before we left for a few days of camping
(and before our snow returned to Wisconsin!)
I had a chance to make a few special
Easter Cards.

I really like the effect of embossing twice in two different colors
and then cutting and piecing areas back onto the first.

This one I used an Anna Griffin floral die
and Memory Box Phlox.
I used chalks to color the Anna floral die cut.

One more card cutting out a shape of embossed cardstock
and raising it with another
design die underneath the window.
I recycled that pretty flower sticker from
a discarded name tag!  Too pretty to throw away!

All of these were new techniques for me and
I have to say I like them!

Thanks for stopping by....

This is what we woke up to Monday morning!
Hope it's nicer where you are!

DeNami Buttons and Bows Blog Hop

Welcome to another stop on your DeNami
Buttons and Bows Blog hop!
So glad you are joining us and hope you're finding
some great inspiration and ideas!
Hopefully you came from
If not, or you just want to start at the beginning
so you get all the details of winning
some $20 gift certificates,
then just head on over to the DeNami Blog

My first card I wanted to try real buttons
just because I don't often use them.

Tying those tiny twine knots through the buttons was almost
impossible!
Now I know why I so rarely do it.
As you can see, I just had to use the DeNami
little bow and button stamps.

This didn't quite turn out like I wanted so
I made another card using the
DeNami floral swag.
I love how I could put two together
across the card.

I couldn't decide which way I liked the card turned,
so I made both!
I liked the softer look of these two cards.
I use a lot of bows on my cards
but I found it was fun also adding buttons!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to
leave a comment before you head on over to

A few new things

Went shopping a little!
A new die and
DeNami birthday discount!

Couldn't resist the little hedgehog any longer
and he needed some cute balloons too!
And had to try a circle greeting
to put him inside of!

Relax....
(and inside)
God's in charge!

Thanks for stopping by.
Dreary, rainy day outside on top of the new snow
we had this week...
it's a mess now!
Hope it's nice where you are!
