Easter Cards

Before we left for a few days of camping
(and before our snow returned to Wisconsin!)
I had a chance to make a few special
Easter Cards.

I really like the effect of embossing twice in two different colors
and then cutting and piecing areas back onto the first.

This one I used an Anna Griffin floral die
and Memory Box Phlox.
I used chalks to color the Anna floral die cut.

One more card cutting out a shape of embossed cardstock
and raising it with another
design die underneath the window.
I recycled that pretty flower sticker from
a discarded name tag!  Too pretty to throw away!

All of these were new techniques for me and
I have to say I like them!

Thanks for stopping by....

This is what we woke up to Monday morning!
Hope it's nicer where you are!

  1. I can't even imagine having snow in the middle of April! It has been in the seventies here this week and on Monday, I turned on the sprinkler for the kids for the first time this year. But it is spring in the northwest so the rain is returning tonight. I think your cards turned out wonderfully. The two tone embossing is so elegant and eye catching and I love the vine cross stamp. I need to make a card with that stamp before Easter passes us by.
